Happy holidays, dear reader!

Today I would like to share an Etsy Treasury I made featuring Etsy sellers from Portugal a long time ago as Treasuries can't be created any more.

The red, green and yellow colours are the ones from the Portuguese flag, as the red and green are associated with Christmas.

I have bought two notebooks from Alfamarama. This shop has notebooks (whose titles show a witty sense of humour), postcards and other stuff. 

I am also featuring a fellow Portuguese crafter, Nicole Lopes, whose shop is NikitasStore. She is a wizard with the crochet needle. Check out this Pointsettia flowers made in crochet.

My last photo is one of the items from my shop named AcbeadsJewellery which is on sale right now. I have not decided whether I close the shop next year or not. Do you have/did you have an Etsy shop? What is/was your experience? Please share.

Celebrating the Art of Curating Treasuries on Etsy

Hello, lovely readers!

Long time no see!

As you may know I have an on-line shop at ETSY marketplace. I have made some sales but not many. Nevertheless, I have met beautiful and talented people there. One of the things that I love at Etsy is that we have the ability to create visual compilations of items on sale. Unfortunately, that capacity is going to be turned off. So, no more treasuries on Etsy for ever.

To celebrate the art of making treasuries I have invited Christine Altmiller from the blog One Kiss Creations that you may know from the blog hops A Time to Stitch in which I have participated.

I have also invited my team mate Bec from BeLuliDesigns at the ONE Treasury Team in ETSY.

Coin Band Bracelet and Amazing Czech Beads

Hi, everyone! This time I want to show you a gorgeous pattern I have found for the amazing square Czech glass beads that are the CzechMate Tile Beads. The ones I have used came from Bojangle Beads. This is a UK based on-line shop that I found last year. I have ordered twice from them. I love the variety of Toho seed beads, the gorgeous metal beads, the quality of their findings and last, but not least, the many shapes of Czech glass beads, like the Tile beads.

The finished bracelet is for sale in Etsy, HERE. It fits a small wrist, like mine, in fact, but it can be fixed.

Butterfly Challenge

Hi! I've just taken a new challenge. I've joined in Pepita's blog hop dedicated to Butterflies. If you are a fan of butterflies like myself, maybe you would like to join us too at Pepita's blog.

You'll have to create something on the theme of butterflies - it can be a piece of jewellery, an ornament or something else, and write a blog post about the final creation with the list of participants on the 11st May.

Some time ago I shared a simple necklace I've made using a butterfly pendant. You can read it HERE.

I'm not sure if I'll redo it in a more elaborate look or if I'll use some of the butterfly charms I have in my stash and make a bracelet fit for Spring.

I'm still indecisive whether I'll do something in beadweaving using one of the amazing patterns I've found on Etsy.

Been Featured

Hi, lovely readers!

I am very happy because I have been featured in a design blog. Lovely Susan of Susan Newberry Designs has featured some of my jewellery pieces and some of my treasuries in her great blog. If you don't know her blog yet, you really must. It is dedicated to all things design - interior, graphic and fashion design.

Her latest post is about Pantone Spring Green for 2015. You can read it here. There are wonderful choices in this colour.

I have chosen some items from Susan's Etsy shop. I really have a thing for typography word art. I've also chosen a gorgeous set of floral prints. But there is an infinite amount of beautiful prints, calendars and greeting cards too.

Aren't these gorgeous flower prints something you'd love to have on your walls so that you could look at them when the days are dark and Spring doesn't come?

Featured in a Treasury on Etsy / Num tesouro do Etsy

Hi! My Leaf of Olwen Earrings have been featured in a new treasury on Etsy. The curator for this Treasury was Elena Anufrieva, who is a Russian photographer. In her Etsy shop named RivuletPhotography you can find magical photo art prints of St. Petersburg, Moscow and Paris. Clicking on the image will take you to the treasury.

Outono / Autumn

I've been selling on Etsy for a few months now but I haven't been very active. Today I've compiled my first Etsy Treasury. It's dedicated to Autumn. 

It seems Summer is soon to end. We are having our first serious storm here. Do you like my Fall Colors?

A commission / Uma encomenda

I've had a commission for a long necklace with Preciosa burgundy pearls. It is long, long, long. It is one meter long and features six hundred pearls. It is the most time consuming piece I've ever made. The customer (a friend) loves the result and so do I.

Tive uma encomenda para um colar comprido de pérolas Preciosa cor burgundy (bordeaux). É muito comprido, mais de um metro, e tem seiscentas pérolas. É a peça mais demorada que alguma vez fiz. A cliente, que é uma amiga, gosta muito do resultado e eu também.

She had the idea for the necklace after seeing a bracelet I had made, and that you can see it here for sale at ETSY.

A ideia do colar foi da minha amiga que depois de ver a pulseira que eu fizera, disse que gostaria de ter um colar igual. A pulseira que deu origem ao colar está à venda na minha loja ETSY e podem vê-la aqui.

Transição / Transition

Olá! Estes são os meus últimos trabalhos. Os dois primeiros elaborados com o que recebi da Siobhán: uma pulseira com berloques em tons natalícios e um marcador de páginas com um anjo. Todos os outros trabalhos são presentes que fiz para oferecer no Natal: pulseiras elásticas e pulseiras de cabedal fino com contas de vidro e estrelas. Fiz também muitos cristais de neve para dar de presente - vejam aqui como são.

Hi! There are my latest creations. Firstly, two pieces I made using Siobhán's beads in Christmas colours: a vintage charm bracelet (my first one) and a beaded bookmark. All the other pieces were Christmas gifts for friends: stretch and leather bracelets. I also gave lots of beaded snowflakes (see them here).
