Sopas de Contas / Bead Soups

Boa noite! Quem tem lido o meu blogue nas últimas semanas sabe já que estou a participar num evento de bijutaria a nível mundial. É a Bead Soup Blog Party, fruto do trabalho de organização da artista norte-americana Lori Anderson. As regras da Party impõem que na(s) peça(s) de bijutaria seja utilizada a conta grande e o fecho da sopa de conta que recebemos.

Devido ao elevado número de participantes, a Party foi dividida em três datas. Nesses dias, os intervenientes mostram nos seus blogues as peças que criaram a partir da "sopa de contas" que receberam do seu parceiro.

O primeiro dia da Festa foi dia 30 de Março (ver aqui). O segundo dia será este sábado, com um post meu. Todavia, estou apenas na 3.ª data, 20 de Abril, ou seja, de sábado a oito dias. Nesse dia, mostrarei aqui no blogue o que fiz com a "sopa" de contas que recebi da minha parceira, Evelyn Duberry, uma artista canadiana que trabalha em vidro lampwork. Vejam as cores destas belezas. Good evening! For those who have been reading my blog, it will come as no surprise that I'm taking part in a worldwide event of handmade jewellery. It is the Bead Soup Blog Party, the brainchild of the US artist Lori Anderson. In this Party, one should include the focal bead and the clasp received in the bead soup. Party's first date was the 30th March (here). Next Saturday will be the 2nd date and I'll be posting the links so you can visit the participants' blogs. My reveal date will be on the 20th April - on that day I'll post here what I've created using the bead soup with the gorgeous lampwork beads my Canadian partner, Evelyn Duberry, has sent me. ACTUALIZAÇÃO: o 2.º e o 3.º dia da Festa foram adiados respectivamente para 13 e 20 de Abril.

Today is the first day of the 7th Bead Soup Blog Party and I'm so excited!

In this Party that is organised by the generous artist Lori Anderson, beaders from all over the world swap beads and publish their creations on three dates. You can read more about it here.

Even though I'm on the 3rd reveal date (13rd April), I'd like to take part in every day the Party is going on. I'm putting here the list for the participants in the 1st reveal date so that you can hop over to their blogs and see all the beautiful jewellery that has been designed.

If any of my readers is also in the Party, please leave a comment because I don't think that I'll able to visit about 500 blogs, that's a lot, right?
