Three Cuff Bracelets

Hello, dear readers!

I was very lucky to have an order for two cuff bracelets in beadweaving. One was the Fluttering Butterflies that I had already made for the Butterfly Challenge Blog Hop (blog post here) - this time I made another one - and the other was the same pattern but in a different colour scheme using cream, gold, yellow, and grey. I was surprised how good the final result was, considering the many different colours but mostly the undefined, impressionist pattern.

Hi, lovely readers!

Today, I would like to share with you a giveaway I am entering. It is hosted by Diana Costa, a jewellery designer from Barcelona, Spain. You may have already heard about her as she designs beautiful peyote patterns for bracelets, among other things she puts for sale on Etsy. My first peyote bracelet used a pattern from Diana. You can read about it, HERE.

  This is my own version of the Flowers of India pattern. 

For this giveaway, ending on the 31st August, you'll have to make one of the many peyote bracelets designed by Diana. The prize is a set of beads worth €80,00, including Miyuki delica seed beads, Twin, Tile and Pip beads. More information can be found at her own site, HERE.

Latest makes in beadweaving

Hi! I'd like to share my latest makes in beadweaving. All of them are designs by Ruby Lockwood - a talented Canadian lady that you might know from the YouTube as she has more than 150 videos just on beading. 

This teal and silver bracelet was made using the Roman Hugs and Kisses design. This is not properly a recent make, I made this bracelet last year for a blog challenge. More information about it can be found HERE.

With this one I entered the challenge Operation Tackle That Bead Stash last June. An earth tones palette had to be used in the finished piece. You can see all the entries HERE. Almost forgot to tell that this is the Evening Love design in case you want to look for it.

And this is the last but not the least. The Simply Simple Bracelet design uses the Pondo stitch. It is made with three main colours.

O que tenho feito/ What I've been doing

Hi, lovely readers! 

I haven't been making much. I've been exploring Etsy where I have a shop now. I've been getting familiar with the way things work there. 

Some time ago, I made a peyote bracelet in pink, purple and grey colours for the Operation Tackle That Bead Stash August challenge.

This geometric pattern from Diana Costa is so beautiful that I've made two bracelets in a row, one in blue and one in pink. You can see the blue version HERE.

I've joined a beadweaving challenge for January 2015. It's called A Time To Stitch 6, as always organised by the talented Therese and Christine.

I really look forward to it. It's great fun. It will be my third time participating. You can read about my first participation HERE and my second HERE.

Etsy again / Etsy de novo

Pela terceira vez, tive uma peça incluída num Tesouro. Desta feita, a curadora foi Nan Smith do blogue WiredNan. Algum dos meus leitores tem loja no Etsy? Qual o seu nome? A minha chama-se ACBeadsJewellery.

Azul / Blue

Fiz várias peças em azul, completamente por acaso. Umas para oferecer, outras não. Eu gosto muito de azul. Por que será que para tantas pessoas esta é a sua cor preferida?

I've made several pieces, all in blue, totally by chance. Some are gifts. I love blue. I wonder why there are so many people that have blue as their favourite colour.

I've made a red charm bracelet with an innumerous amount of beads. 

Fiz uma pulseira de berloques com um número infinito de contas.

I hope you like it. I love it. This is the second charm bracelet I've made. I'm happy I've decided to create it for the challenge because I think I'm getting better at making this kind of bracelets.
Espero que gostem. Eu adoro-a. É a segunda pulseira de berloques que faço. Estou feliz por ter decidido fazê-la para este evento porque julgo que estou a ficar melhor neste tipo de pulseiras.

... é o nome do livro onde consta este projecto de hoje. Uma pulseira com missangas metálicas elaborada segundo a técnica herringbone (espinha em português). Faz parte do evento Bead, Book and Bounce do grupo OTTBS. Amanhã vou incluir aqui melhores fotografias porque hoje terminei tarde e a luz natural já se tinha ido embora...

... is the book where you can find this project I've just finished. It is a bracelet made with metallic seed beads in the herringbone stitch. This is my participation (my first one) in the Bead, Book and Bounce blog hop of OTTBS group. Tomorrow I'll edit this post and add better photos. This is what you get when you finish late and the good and natural light is gone...

Made with Swarovski bicone crystals, fire-polished glass beads and Czech seed beads.
Realizada com bicones de cristais Swarovski, contas de vidro checas e missangas de qualidade.

Quase nova / Almost new

Uma nova pulseira para uma amiga que perdeu a sua.
A new bracelet for a friend who has lost hers.

Ou melhor, quase nova porque vou dar-lhe a minha (a amarela na foto abaixo) substituindo os cristais. A dela era a outra.
Or should I say, almost new because I'm giving her mine (the yellow one in the below photo) after replacing the crystals. Her bracelet was the other one.

Espero que ela goste desta nova versão.
I hope that she likes this new version.

Uma pulseira que fiz recentemente para oferecer a uma amiga, segundo o gosto da destinatária.
A bracelet I've made to gift a friend. I tried to suit her taste and style. 

Pulseira de duas vias com cristais chineses, pérolas da marca Rayher e corrente de cobre feita por mim.
Double strand bracelet made with Chinese crystals, Rayher pearls and copper chain I made myself.

Eu gosto muito. Este é também o meu estilo.
I like this bracelet very much. This is my style too.

Nova Pulseira / New Bracelet

Olá. Quero mostrar-vos a pulseira que fiz para o 2.º dia do Desafio do Fusion Beads. Depois de uma tentativa falhada em que usei menos arame do que devia, à segunda acertei. É uma pulseira de duas voltas com contas de cerâmica, vidro, cristais e pérolas Swarovski. O vermelho escuro e o cinzento criam uma paleta outonal.

Hi! This is the bracelet I've made for the 2nd day of Fusion Beads Challenge. In my first attempt I used less memory wire than I should, so I had to restrung all the beads. It is two strand memory wire bracelet with ceramic, glass, crystal and Swarovski beads. Red and grey colours create an autumn palette.

Indian Summer / Verão Indiano

Viva! Acabei de ver as criações do desafio deste mês da loja The Bead Shop Liverpool - o tema é o Indian Summer, que em português corresponde ao Verão de São Martinho. Espreitem aqui. A minha interpretação consistiu numa pulseira onde predominam os tons quentes.
