Bead Soup Blog Party

The Bead Soup Blog Party has been postponed by a week. The reveal date will be 10th May.

A Festa Bead Soup Blog Party foi adiada uma semana pelo que acontecerá no dia 10 de Maio.

On that date, about five hundred participants from USA, Canada, Europe, Australia, India, Indonesia and many other countries show their jewellery creations. Join us that day in this world party.

Nesse dia, cerca de quinhentos participantes dos Estados Unidos, Canadá, Europa, Austrália, Índia, Indonésia e muitos outros países mostram as suas criações. Juntem-se a nós neste evento mundial.

Monthly Challenge 2014

Hi! It is time again for the reveal of the Monthly Challenge 2014 hosted by Lili Krist of Indonesia.

A magnificent painting of Gaia (Mother Earth) by Edward Foster was the inspiration stimulus. Earth Day is celebrated on 22nd April. 

Considering that sometimes we have to step afar to see things clear and that the Earth seen from space is blue, I chose to use that colour. I also wanted my project to be environment friendly so I've bought no beads or materials. Last but not least, all are glass beads but the shell pendant is recicled glass, how about that?

Please be kind to our lovely home, planet Earth, and whenever possible, reuse, reduce and recycle.

Inscrevi-me no evento A TIME TO STITCH. É um «blog hop» organizado por Therese e Christine que vai na sua 5.ª edição, dedicado aos trabalhos com missangas.

Hoje é o último dia para inscrição. Fiz uma tradução das regras que podem encontrar nos blogues organizadores. 

Escolhe-se um ponto ao nosso gosto. Nesse ponto fazemos três peças, onde vamos mudar as contas principais em cada uma delas. A mudança pode ser o tamanho, a cor, o acabamento ou a forma.

Por exemplo:
Se eu quiser fazer pulseiras em ponto peyote, vou fazer uma pulseira com missangas tamanho 15, outra pulseira com missangas tamanho 11 e outra pulseira com missangas 8.

OU

Vou fazer uma pulseira em vermelho mate, uma outra em vermelho transparente e ainda outra em vermelho irisado.

OU

Vou fazer uma pulseira com missangas, uma com cubos e uma com «peanuts».

A ideia é ver como ao mudarmos um tipo de conta, o aspecto da peça pode ficar completamente diferente, ainda que se esteja a usar o mesmo ponto. É fascinante observar como as contas que são escolhidas podem afectar o aspecto final da peça.
